Feel like I fell short

Started late on trying to enter IB, was from a non-target. I didn’t apply/network nearly enough and had no idea what I was doing until most recruitment past. Had two lower BB superdays but ended up with an SA at a small regional boutique. Converting from SA to FT. I feel like I didn’t do nearly enough early enough. Is it possible to lateral to BB/EB from FT at small regional IB? What would that timeline look like? Do I need to take the MBA route?
