Feeling bad/envious working for “lower tier” firm
Any tips for not getting caught up in the prestige rat race? I know that by any objective measure, the difference between working at like a top BB and a bottom BB is pretty small, especially at lower positions on the ladder. But I can’t help but feel bad having an offer at a firm generally seen as lesser while I see friends and tons of people on here getting offers from GS, PJT, RBC, etc.
I wish it were easier to be content. Has anyone successfully dealt with these feelings of envy and inadequacy and come to terms with the fact that things are fine not at the absolute top?
lmao RBC troll real funny
That part’s clearly tongue in cheek lol
RBC is a top BB...?
I'm an incoming 8th grader with 4 internships at Blackstone PE and I too am depressed that I didn't get RBC. RBC is what I want and I dream about it all day and night. I'll sleep 20 hours a day on weekends so I can have extra time to dream about working at RBC.
give me a job at the RBC
It depends if lower tier means Citi/Barclays/CS or if it means DB/UBS. Big difference.
kid is calling RBC a top BB, so it could even be Nomura
