The recent gay rights debate has got me wondering, where do all of you wall street warriors stand when it comes to politics?
I personally am very conservative- but being from the south (and never left) I am curious what the politically ideology is on wall street and amonst other finance professionals.
I'm very liberal but most on the street are conservative, especially fiscally. I think the majority are probably for stuff like gay marriage though but I'm sure that most people vote republican every election.

I am not working yet, but will be doing an i-banking SA internship this summer. Personally, I am pretty fiscally conservative, but very socially liberal. My experience in working last summer in New York is nearly everyone is incredibly fiscally conservative. Social positions are a totally mixed bag, which I would say is to be expected. Never really did more than listen, didn't want to start a full-blown political debate as an intern.
My views are probably closest to Rand Paul's
I was raised in a very conservative family and was taught from an early age to shy away from liberal ideas. Once I became a little older though, I realized that BOTH major parties suck at running the country. I believe in our constitutional rights, which the government, as well as many scared voters, seem eager to limit/take away. Gay marriage? Let the people do as they please as long as it doesn't get in the way of another citizen's rights. I personally think conservatives are behind on many social issues while liberals seem to not care about how much debt our country puts on as long as the entitlements keep flowing.
I'd say my political views are closest to Ron Swanson's.
