Hey guys, wondering what the compensation for the finance summer interns (back office) was at the BB's. I am working in IBD at one of them, and a family friend has a kid working back office at the same firm as I do - the parent claims they make 70k prorated, and I am calling BS.
Is this true?

That sounds right. From what I know of BO roles (which is limited) they usually make the same base but a much lower bonus. I'm sure others here have BO internships or friends with BO internships and will confirm.
Might be true, BO finance is more respected than BO Operations and is closer to doing "real" finance work. I know a few people in BO finance and their base was either the same or slightly less than more competitive positions.
