Financial Restructuring

I recently came across some postings for financial restructuring roles at HL and haven't been able to find much about it on WSO. Hoping someone in the field can provide some insights.

How are the hours compared to normal IB? From my knowledge, these roles are at investment banks, but aren't actually "investment banking?"

Going off of that, how is your role different from that of a banker? I've seen that there's a lot less modeling, but is there anything else that's very different?

Exit opportunities? Seems like it's mainly distressed PE. Any chance you could pivot to management consulting due to the advisory-nature of restructuring?

Overall, is there anything you wish you would have known / anything about the field that isn't well known?

Fr. IIRC HL hs a different (and much greater) bonus pool + like 2x the seamless of HL CF

I think the firm increased the seamless budget for CF over the last two years so it’s $40 for dinner across the board in NY
