First Year Lateral from one sector group to Technology
Hello,
I am looking to pivot to IB Technology as it is my passion since day one, and I think it is time for me to go back to what I love to do.
For a lateral interview for a first year at a MM Bank to another MM Bank in the Technology group, do you expect any Technology-industry-focused questions? or will this be similar to a general IB interview (For example, how do you build a 3 Financial Statements, how do they link, etc.)

Yes. Value work and modeling for tech are different. Would expect a lateral to be able to speak to basic Saas and value metrics on top of knowing the general shit.
What do you mean by value metrics?
Metrics that are specifically used to value technology companies. It varies by vertical but there are overarching ones for say B2B SaaS etc.
