Fitting in night routine/health essentials while working finance hours?
Hope this isn’t a dumb question/something only I struggle with, but I’m a new analyst in S&T, and my hours are generally 6-6. I try to hit the gym right after work everyday (really important for my mental health), and get home around 7:30-8. I’m not someone who can function well on little sleep, so I try to be in bed by 10 and asleep by 10:30 so I can get up at 5.
However, since I have to still eat dinner after the gym, I’m probably done eating around 8:30 and drink water with my food. I’ll then shower/wind down for bedtime. But I’ve been having to get back up to pee around 10:30-11, and therefore sleeping later and feeling tired in the morning. Also, I’ve noticed that I still feel kinda too full while trying to sleep. I’ve already adjusted my meals so that I’m basically just eating some chicken/protein after the gym (and eating all carbs/everything else earlier in the day), so that I’m still getting protein post-workout, but don’t have to drink as much water to soak up carbs or feel super full.
This has helped to an extent, but not completely, and I’m wondering if this is a common problem that others have dealt with. Is it just a matter of having to sacrifice either sleep or gym time or drinking less water with my post-gym food (but that seems bad for digestion)?

Your body's rhythm will get used to your new routine extremely quickly. There's always an adjustment period that's a pain when getting used to a new sleep schedule and daily rhythm, but give it a few more weeks and you'll have a hard time staying up past 10:30 even if you try. One piece of advice is to try to keep to the same sleep schedule even during the weekends and fall asleep / wake up at the same time every evening and morning. It helps your body develop and stick to the rhythm.
For sure, compared to IB my hours are amazing haha. I think you have a point with the trying to sleep at the same time on weekends, it’s probably been hard for me to adjust because of staying out late on Fridays/Saturdays. I guess the only solution to this is just to sacrifice a bit of my social life?
Eh, I'd just try and not stay out past 1:00AM and/or wake up past ~6:30AM on weekends until you're firmly in the rhythm of crashing early and waking up early. Once your body is adjusted it's less damaging if you want to break routine once every weekend or two.
