Following up after submitting resume
I'm interested if anyone has any experience with contacting someone at a small boutique after submitting your resume to the [email protected] or whatever email. I am considering reaching out to an analyst or associate to let them know I submitted my resume and affirm my interest. And also ask for an informational interview to learn about the firm.
I specifically mean in a case where you have no connection with anyone at the firm. I feel like this gives me a logical reason to be emailing them and could maybe put me on their radar.
Do you guys think this could be helpful, or be annoying/awkward?
