HY and Lev Loan markets have rallied over the past couple of months. The market is open for HY issuance, albeit most issuers will have to issue at higher yields than they would probably like (9% is pretty much the absolute lower bound for coupons, even on sr sec notes, and OID is typical on top of that) but with maturities approaching, many companies have access to capital so they should be thankful for that.

 

We're seeing people charging some pretty absurd upfront fees. Some banks have quoted 4%-5%. Note: I'm still at an investment bank, this is for lenders looking at our transactions.
