For those who left IB, what were the biggest takeaways / things you are glad you went through
I’ll start:
- Attention to detail
- Ability to deal with neurotic/psychotic seniors
- Realization that you are not / will not ever be as important as you think you are
- Experience working directly with very senior and intelligent people, however peripheral, and “punching above your weight”
- Overall crash course in how to be a corporate professional

Never trust an MBA
I think hours are just easy as hell in comparison to banking. I work with people who cannot survive an extra hour or two when it’s crunch time (we typically do 40 hrs). When I leave at 8pm, people think I’m some type of overtime god (I work in Corporate Finance)
