Deciding between:
1. Foreign balance sheet bank TMT
Bigger platform, more financing / cap markets exposure, potentially improving advisory momentum. Concern is role may be more lending-heavy than real M&A.
2. UMM tech group
Cleaner tech IB seat, likely better M&A / software reps. Concern is sweatier culture and maybe less “brand” than a larger bank.
Main goals: better reps, more M&A, stronger exits / future lateral optionality. Comp roughly similar.
