Forgot to pre-clear a trade
So I impulsively bought $35 worth of shares as a joke to show my friends. But I totally forgot to pre-clear those trades.
So today I got an email from the compliance office asking me what the reasoning was for placing a trade without pre-clearing, and I told them I had forgot entirely.
I’m worried what the repercussions are on this. I’ve seen a few past threads on this subject but was hoping for updated information.
I am currently working in back-office settlements and have been here for a few months now.
Any insight on this is highly appreciated.
for $35 i doubt anything will happen. Worst case is you prob have to do 2-3 hours of online training
You're fine man.
they will tell you not to do it again, that's about it.
Depends on if your state/country still has the death penalty
