French in London/HK/NYC

Hey! I was wondering if you knew any French people working in London, Hong-Kong or NYC...how did they get there and what schools did they go through

Yeah, if you're moving to London / scouting it out as a prospective location, you don't need to worry about a paucity of French people. A lot I know when to LSE (mostly post-grad). A bank that (weirdly) has a strong French vibe (other than Soc Gen and BNP Paribas) is HSBC: the firm acquired Crédit Commercial de France in 2000 and since then there's been a strong French presence in the London HQ. They (the French HSBC employees) are somewhat renowned for only hiring other French people - so much so that they've been called "the French mafia" by British insiders, with the bank going so far as to allegedly ban casual conversation in French on the trading floor.
