Freshman IB Opportunities in Atlanta

Hi, I'm currently a freshman at a semi-target school that's looking for a summer IB internship or program in Atlanta. I understand that in general, IB offerings for freshman are slim. Any help or recommendations are much appreciated, and I'm impartial to paid/unpaid. Thanks!

IB scene in Atlanta is small, open your options and apply across the country.

The big banks in Atlanta won’t take a freshman, try small boutiques/funds here. Any internship is good as a freshman, not just IB ones.

Plenty to do around the south, especially if willing to do unpaid (I would say this is a bad idea more often than not).

I’ll echo what the guy above me said and say that ib offerings are slim, look outside Atlanta. However, it’s totally possible to do as a freshman. If you can differentiate yourself and you can nail interviews/network as hard as those a few classes above you, there’s plenty of firms that would be happy to have you.

Be sure to look into small boutiques like Lenox Group or CCG and make personalized contacts with people there. Perhaps this is unpopular on this forum, but I would be forward and let them know you’re interested in a job from the get go and you’d like to get to know them and the firm.

Best of luck with recruiting and just know that it definitely gets easier as you get a bit further into school.
