I hear about front, middle and back office. I guess back office sounds like reconciling statements or payroll or something. What is front and middle then?

FO--IB, S&T, Research, MO-Risk, there is probably another position for MO. BO-Trade Support, Ops, Finance, IT,ect

If you move to IB you're FO. If you're still in risk you're MO regardless what division you're working in.
