FT Partners Super Day

As the title suggests, I’ve been invited to a SD with FT Partners.

I would greatly appreciate it if people could share their insights and experiences.

For context, the SD is 3 30 minute virtual interviews with 3 employees.

Thank you.

Know your technicals especially the 400 question guide. Wouldn’t hurt to know more about FinTech space in general and talk through an example company and how they generate revenue.

Did super say last year and made it through. Have your basic conversational / behavioral questions down cold. They won’t ask you anything surprising (when have you failed, when have you worked in a team, etc.). I say know them cold because in my experience these don’t end up being conversational… when I gave my response my interviewer responded with “that’s fine” and moved onto the next question showing no emotion. As far as technicals, know 400 guide as others have said. They will ask questions off the advanced section, particularly super complex accounting ones (got asked one on revolving credit facilities) and they’ll ask you LBO questions.  This is a firm where you can’t tell if you’re doing well haha. I thought it was the worst interview performance of my life but I made it past the super day. Keep your head on straight, they distance themselves intentionally to try and throw you off. Other than that, just ask thoughtful questions on the fintech space.
