My MM did $5k and paid it out as part of the first pay check. If you're thinking of trying to negotiate this, I would not.
MM got $5k as I joined as analyst, heard BB did $10k, but agree, wouldn't negotiate this.....my MM gave me $30k signing for analyst to associate promotion (same firm), heard some other people got 40k for signing as an associate
Varies by firm/location. Check the WSO database for exact numbers, but my guess is that the average is $10k-ish. The payout structure differs by firm though. Some companies give you a check right when you sign, and others don't disburse the payment till you start working as part of the first check. So, I wouldn't bank on balling out on models & bottles next fall.

Starting at MM FT in NYC this summer and will get $10k When I start
Starting MM in NY this summer. Got $7500 in December.
Mine does $10k, paid out once you start basically. Peanuts in comparison to friends in Silicon Valley who get $75k, 2/3 awarded upon actual signing.
$12K given on first paycheck in mid-June.
$10k is standard for BB/larger MM these days (labeled as "relocation" bonus, also likely to be subject to some level of clawback if you leave before 2 years). EB's will be multiples of that ($20-50k is range I've heard over past couple years).
Why is the signing bonus significantly higher at the EB level?
EB compensation is just higher in general, base and bonus. Good combination of strong performance, smaller size, allows them to pay more.
Also, to add to previous post, convention is for the upfront bonus to come with your first paycheck, not before.
Do people who interned elsewhere get a signing bonus when they lateral?

Following SA, $10k plus an extra $5k if you sign by a certain date. Received within a month of signing FT offer. From what I've heard that was pretty standard.
