Goldman BG Check going on 6 weeks now??

My background check started mid-February and it's still going now. I emailed HR and they just said that it's ongoing and they'd reach out if they had any questions.** Is something wrong??**

I've already been given my start date and the website has allowed me to book my flight for the summer, access my documentation, etc. I just don't understand why it's taking so long and I need to sign a lease for the summer soon.

My background check for GS started in January and is still ongoing. I wouldn't worry about it, i think they're just really slow

Check the HR links they sent you to access the files for the background check in the first place. There should be a part where you can check your status. If it says preliminarily approval and your drug test says successful (if you've already done it ) I wouldn't worry.

Same here. My GS BG check started in late February and this is the sixth week. The system says the BG check is still in progress...I contacted the HR department and they said they would contact me once they cleared the bg check. I guess what one can do is to wait at this point.

i wouldn't worry too much - sometimes they take a while as they get backed up or they cant get through to the people they need to. just hunker down and wait to hear back. good luck.

No news for me either. Does hrww say preliminary approval for you (doesnt for me)? Does it say that they received your signed contract? I also sent my signed contract months a months ago but still says not received.
