Goldman - Relationship Lending Group?
Anyone have experience with the Relationship Lending Group at Goldman? Know they made some changes with how lending groups rolls up in IBD and the Financing Group, but haven't been able to find much info on this team.
At face value, the job seems like a credit-focused role where you would prepare credit memos for new commitments to mainly pro rata facilities (rcf, TLA's)). However, job description makes it seem like it's a middle office role (portfolio, analytics and reporting) with a few front office responsibilities (reviewing and negotiating credit agreements for new financings). Full job link below.
A liaison group between LevFin and internal Ops basically - a combo of admin and coordination work
Any insight if this group does any actual credit analysis (i.e. cash flow modeling, preparing memos to get underwriting/commitment approval)?
No not really, they're actually more on the receiving end of the approval process and are involved in evaluating internal credit memos / docs and such. They will also help evaluate credit agreements / provide underwriting standards
Basically commercial banking
Just out of curiosity but what would exit opps look like for this role?
