Hi guys! Junior here (semi-target). Have been networking since past year focusing on building relationship. Just checking in with other monkeys, where they at or where they were once.
If you network well, how many firms do you get interviews with? (How many BBs/MMs/EBs?)
I know it's kinda general/broad question but just wanted to check in how other monkeys are doing.

'Good networking' =/= how many firms interview you
i got interviews at almost every single bank that I networked at.
Curious to know the number. 10/15/20?

It's all relative. If you have a 4.0 from a top target and cured cancer/AIDS (is that still around) and only end up getting 4 interviews then you did a pretty shitty job. If you have a >3.0 from bumblefuck state and end up getting those same interviews? You've hustled pretty hard. You should judge your networking more on how many relationships you've formed that you will be able to leverage in the future.

iunno remember that first rounds =/= offers; i had a pretty abysmal conversion rate. 4 superdays, 2 offers.
it doesn't matter if you get the interview, the offer is all that matters.
If you're a decent candidate (GPA is solid, finance internships, some ECs) and you're at a target, you should be able to get an interview at every place you network at. This sounds aggressive, but I had 30+ BB/EB first-rounds (obviously this includes interviews with different groups at the same bank) and networked with 5 people. So if you've been talking with people too...this shouldn't be difficult.
I'm not bragging, just making a point that if you have OCR, and you're networking, you shouldn't be struggling for interviews by February.
