Not sure how you got the summer offer in the first place, but assume HR/ the group you intern with will look at your resume again. If you put your head down, do what's asked of you, respond/ make yourself available whenever there is something needed to be done, and come off as a social person- I do not see why you wouldn't get a return.

Not sure I understand why people are making you concerned about this. Unless you lied on your resume, the third party background checkers will not care if your GPA was 3.0 or 3.4.

1. Clearly the group and/or recruiter thought that whatever else you had on the resume was good enough to make up for the low GPA - you got the summer offer after all.

2. They will be able to evaluate you directly so the quality of your work and your likeableness will be way more important than whatever else.

Probably not considering they already knew what your GPA was before they extended the SA offer. As long as you perform well over the summer, I don’t see why they wouldn’t give you a return offer.
