GPA- HR/during background check for FT position

Hi All,

I have a question regarding GPA during a background check/ when & if HR reviews transcripts for FT positions.

Situation: I have a low GPA at my current university and I want to know if it will be a problem down the road if I accept an offer. I have left my GPA off my resume & am not fabricating a GPA.

Assuming I am able to get a interview leveraging my network, the GPA does not come up or I work my way around it during an interview and get an offer, will a 2.7 GPA result in getting my offer rescinded when they do a background check.

I know there are posts about people lying/incorrectly rounding their GPA but I would like to know if omitting it will screw me over once a offer is made.

FWIW I am not recruiting for IB, rather Markets, Risk Management, and Corp Fin, still at BB (Citi, JPM, BOA) though.

I know its not a good situation so please provide any insight you can.

Thanks Monkeys
