Graduate Cold Emailing Boutique Banks Feedback

I graduated university about two weeks ago with a BBA degree and no internship experience but am still seeking a role in investment banking.

I was wondering, given my lack of experience should I ONLY be aiming for internships in my cold emails or should I also be attempting to target full-time analyst positions as well?

I am only messaging boutique banks as with my GPA and lack of internship experience I don't have a chance at any of the Canadian BB banks.

Would anyone be willing to make some suggestions to my cold email template here? I have read previous threads on this forum and guides on other sites about this but feel like my situation is slightly unique given my lack of ability to talk about "previous experience".

Dear Mr. XXX,

I am writing to you to see if [BANK NAME] might be interested in taking an intern in its mergers & acquisitions team. I am available to start immediately.

I’m a 2018 [SCHOOL NAME] graduate from the Business Administration program with a concentration in Finance. I have gained experience in prospecting investment opportunities and conducting due diligence in early-stage rapid growth companies through my university’s investment fund and have enclosed my resume for your reference.

I understand that your firm has a formalized recruitment process, but if the team is currently experiencing high deal flow then I could be of assistance.

Would it be possible to arrange a call? I would be very grateful for an opportunity to discuss this with you.

Thank you,

Thank you to whoever takes the time to read this and respond!
