Graduation Year and Pre-Internship Question

Hello monkeys,

I'm a first-year undergrad in a university in Hong Kong.

I've been looking at many pre-internship events and programs, and they all always specify one thing in common: "Class of 2019" or "Graduating in 2019", you get the point.

My situation: Normally, I should be graduating in June/July 2020, but if I take additional credits every semester, I can graduate in December 2019. However, I haven't decided whether I would take these additional credits.

My questions:

  1. Would it be alright to apply for these programs and say that I'm graduating in 2019?
  2. If yes, would the banks hold it against my record if I decide to graduate in 2020? Would this affect my application for summer analyst positions?
  3. If I get accepted to these programs, how do I go about it? Do I tell the bankers that I'm a first year, but graduating in 2019? (It's typically a 4-year program in Hong Kong)

Thanks in advance!
