Great Culture, Poor Deal Flow

For some context, I have been at this solid middle market firm for a year and a half now in a product group (think cap markets) and, while the culture is great - I genuinely enjoy working with everyone on the team - the deal flow has been mediocre over the past year. Since joining the firm, I have one deal under my belt, for which I was staffed on from start to finish. But other than that, I have not been staffed on any other deals - this is due to the fact that our group is not really winning any new mandates. We do quite some pitching, but seem to have a low conversion rate, admitting I do not have anything else to compare it against.

The main concerns with this situation is that (a) I am not learning as much as I would hope to, and (b) when promotion for associate comes up in the near future, I will not be adequately prepared due to limited deal experience.

Curious if anyone else has been in a similar situation or has advice on how to best handle the scenario.
