Greenhill in 2021

Know there was a recent thread on PWP/GUG/GHL but felt GHL was the least covered. Can anyone speak more directly to GHL comp, WLB, recent exits? Also curious to hear in the WFH context if analysts have had it egregiously worse than usual and if any have quit. Would be happy to learn more on both M&A and Rx side.

Advised 4 U.S. deals in 2021 so far according to their website. Not sure how this compares to their historical performance.

If it's a sign of anything, the whole core of the Cogent Partners team (Greenhill's Secondaries advisory group that was the top group in the sector) has basically left. The head left for buy-side, a couple of the folks went to Evercore, and the rest of the core was poached by Jefferies (25+ bankers from MDs [5 total] to analysts). Apparently, they were all unhappy with leadership and pay and the direction that Greenhill was going in. Might say something about the rest of the bank.

Wondering if anyone had details of Jefferies basically poaching the entirety of Greenhill's PCA group.
