Anyone got any information on the interview process for RE Capital Advisory? What kind of technicals were asked? Someone mentioned in the Private Capital Advisory thread that their group expected the same skill set as IBD.

This group raises money for institutional investors, specifically, they raise equity. They keep tabs on what is occurring the market, who is allocating capital, and how they can then go raise it for their clients. An analyst will be doing pitch work as well as due diligence work on the strategy of their client. This will help the MD's pitch the fund to investors. Not sure what office you will be in, but I do know that analysts from the office in my city have the ability to leave to hedge funds. Although you won't get the same type of modeling experience as someone in M&A, the Greenhill name carries weight.

Someone told me the other day that these guys do some entity level stuff, is that true? I thought it was just a IB shop that had a nice CRE/Gaming group (corporate level stuff). Reading their recent deals they do recapitalizations, M&A Sales, IPO's and I guess some large ($500MM+) investment sales for CRE.

Wonder why a real estate company would list a building with these guys rather than a big CRE Broker. Great group though from a REIB standpoint.
