Profits from Goldman IBD dropped about 60% YoY and 30% over the prior quarter. Q4 is looking like it is going to be worse for the firm with deal flow slowing even more. During H1 2023, the US will enter a recession adding more downward pressure on GS profits and deal flow. Considering the drop in profits, bonuses are going to be hit hard. Yes, it will be dependent on the group, but Analyst one bonuses on average are expected to drop below $55k.
