I thought Finance at GS was middle office. Correct me if I am wrong..
It depends. ECM/DCM/LevFin/CorDerv/Structured Finance etc. are in the Investment Banking Division, which is split into classic M&A and Financing Groups. Not sure about Credit Finance though.
