GS IBD Financing Group - Structured Finance
Hey guys,
Hoping someone can provide some color on a job posting I came across. Not sure what exactly it is and what the job would entail. It would be much appreciated.

What exactly does the Financing Group do at GS. To be specific, I am curious about the Residential team within Structured Finance. It doesn't seem like they are structuring new deals, so I am confused as to what exactly the job entails.

The Financing Group is essentially Capital Markets at GS.
Structured Finance focuses on securitization. Don't quote me on this, but I believe the Residential team is responsible for buying and securitizing residential mortgages for clients.

I can't comment on the skills you will develop, or speak for what the culture is like elsewhere, but I know a few of the London team and they are all decent guys.
Go out together a lot and their hours are very good. It's rare they are in the office after 1.
