GS product and sector teams

Hi monkeys,

Does anyone know how the product and sector teams at GS are organised? I was under the impression they don't have a generalist M&A team and all M&A deals are handled exclusively by industry verticals; however, I have received conflicting information about this, so it'd be great to clear it up. Specifically interested in APEJ (SG and HK) but would love to hear about LDN and NYC too. Thanks!

GS has both product (AKA financing group] and coverage (classic group] groups.

Most bankers are in the classic groups as they're significantly larger and do the m&a portion. Financing group teams, for example dcm are much smaller

Cheers man, could I please confirm if it has an M&A product group or only financing product groups with M&A being handled entirely by the coverage groups?
