GS Sector Question

I am a Junior in college and very much looking into getting an intership for the summer in IBanking. I received a contact for an analyst at GS that might be willing to try and help me. My question is the only info besides his name and email, is that he is an analyst in foreign accounts. Can someone enlighten me to the broader sector this analyst is currently working in. Thank a lot.

.... no idea if he is even an IBD analyst. The process at GS is very well structured, it is highly unlikely he could help you (even if he was an analyst). Associates on the other hand do have the ability (to an extent) to (vouch for) a strong analyst candidate
