Guggenheim Chicago
Nothing been said about this group really. Wanted some insight into deal flow, culture, growth? Has anyone seen them win any mandates? Saw they grabbed a couple blair bankers, but thats about it.

Career Resources
Believe they do IT and software deals, which should be a pretty busy space. They also might do some consumer and retail stuff. Seems like they've hired a good number of people in a fairly short period of time, which would indicate good deal flow, but no personal info on that.
The MD from Lazard MM that they brought over is a consumer guy
Work at a Chicago BB. Guggenheim's Chicago office is basically their Middle Market banking office, with NYC focusing on large cap advisory. They hired two young heavy hitters from William Blair, the Lazard MM guy mentioned above, and a RJ guy in Atlanta. Don't know of anyone else. Mandates will be MM but they've been hiring like crazy
Do you think they’d be paying typical gugg pay in terms of bonus to analysts even tho it’s more mm focused?
also would be curious how you would think about the analyst experience including exits at a new office like gugg Chicago vs a Blair
As has been discussed on this site and others, odds are you can expect pay at BBs and EBs in Chicago at junior levels to be virtually the same as NYC (of course, there can be variances if performance at different offices are drastically different).
Comp same as NY and opportunistic. Group has been wildly successful early on
sweatshop from what I've heard
Really, sweatshop? Kind of surprising since main guys are from Blair, which is known for having good culture and W/L balance.
