Guggenheim GPA
I've been trying to network for Guggenheim SA 25 for the last few weeks, and I've noticed that pretty much all of the analysts in the group that they're hiring for have a literal 4.0 GPA and latin honors: While I know they are an EB and such, is it still worth applying if you're floating around 3.7-3.8? Does Guggenheim put a particular premium on high-GPA applicants?
No harm in applying. Had a 3.7 when I applied for SA24 with an MD referral and didn’t receive a first round. Also at a school with no alum in banking though.
My friend had a 3.7 and landed an offer for NY. Had friends with 3.8-4.0s all at least get a first round if they previously networked.
3.7 should be fine. I would focus on other factors that will help get the job, like your networking, relevant experiences, and techs. These will help you stand out much more.
Friend at target had a 3.6 and got the offer
Have a lot of Gugg friends with 3.7-3.8, personally recruited with a 3.7 at another firm, don’t sweat it and make sure your behaviorals and technicals are polished.
Lol I heard they usually took kids with really high GPAs (3.9-4.0) what happened??
friend at non-target has summer 24 offer with like a 3.5 lmao
We review apps pretty holistically. Good GPA is most helpful at the resume drop stage. Once you get to interviews / superdays, matters much less. Shoot your shot champ!
I had a 3.7 fwiw.
