Since this is 90 days back, will they give you more than 90 days warning of the test, and type of test? This is for any job, internship, SA, FT, whatever.
And do firms random drug test?
I've searched the forums and yes, there are plenty of threads on drug testing but these questions remain unanswered.

Uh, no they won't give you 90 days warning. They're trying to see if you've done drugs or not, not if you quit doing them long enough to pass the test.
Once you're hired you'll probably never have to take a drug test again. (Not sure that's how it is everywhere, but none of my friends in industry have taken a drug test since starting at the firm they work for)
My firm gave SAs a month's notice before our drug test (urine). If they were trying to see whether or not we did drugs, I'm reasonably sure they would have given us less notice.
Does 90 days notice even matter for a hair test? If you're using on a regular basis, the substance can be traced in your hair for a long period of time. I heard it ranges from 3 to 5 months...
Hair tests can detect drug use for the past 6 months, it's how much they choose to test that matters
We are subject to random drug tests at my firm and, although it's working (for me), i think it's just a scare tactic.
Yeah and they normally do 90 days, they can go way further back but I'm pretty sure 90 is the norm.
Well I know for most urine tests they give you 2-4 weeks in advance, which is enough time to get everything out of your system. So I don't see why they wouldn't give you more time for the hair test.
Unless, of course, it's random (like that day test) in which case I guess you would just get screwed? Has anyone ever been randomly tested with no preparation before?

no firms want to catch you doing drugs, hence why they just do a piss test.
