Hair Transplant in IB
Alright fellas, level with me.
I’m an Associate 2 in the IB game at your typical Tier 2 BB. I’m in one of the smaller groups and a few of us are back in the office on occasion, and moving towards a more steady rotation of coming in. I’ve wanted to throw some CapEx at the ole hairline for a while now and my only hold up is I do not want my MD to think I’m a complete fucking idiot. We’re not in the office often so I’m assuming my MD and fellow Associates/VPs/Analysts would be the only ones to have to see me afterwards, on a semi-frequent basis. That said, people’s heads look pretty gnarly for a week or two after transplant, followed by a bit goofy for the next 3-6 months before it looks normal enough.
My question is, in your opinions, do you think running this by my MD will make him judge my priorities or take me less seriously as a professional? I’m 100% cool with getting cracked on or laughed at as far as jokes and all that go, I just don’t want to be branded the plastic-surgery, vanity douche causing a genuine workplace distraction. For what it’s worth my MD is very down to earth and friendly, we have a good relationship and we aren’t going to be meeting with clients in person any time soon. Any input here?
There will never be a better time to do it.
