Handshakes and COVID-19
Have had some borderline awkward moments recently when meeting/introducing myself to new people given some are noticeably uncomfortable/reluctant to shake hands due to COVID. I'm not a germophobe by any means and I understand why some people feel uncomfortable but it definitely feels weird not shaking hands when introducing myself and feels even weirder fist bumping a coworker as a formal introduction. What are people doing to avoid awkward encounters given work-related social distancing practices?
Just fist bump them. Nothing weird about it.
Yeah just be the first and then its not awkward.
Have found an elbow bump to work as well
