Hannam & Partners - Energy/Natural Resources Investment Banking

Hi all,

To all Energy/Natural Resources Investment Bankers, what is your opinion on Hannam & Partners, in terms of reputation on the street, deal-flow, culture, exit opps, salary. Are they an important/well known player in the industry ? Do their analysts usually transfer to other decent nat.res. groups in other banks?

Any insight would be great,

Thanks!

I worked there for a while.

Fantastic experience overall. Plenty of opportunity to get exposed to every aspect of the deal compared to bulge brackets where you can kind of get pigeonholed into only a few responsibilities. Culture is exceptional, deal flow is fantastically interesting, exit ops will come from your own networking but the firm is very integrated into the market so is not an issue. Pay is competitive for UK, but below average when compared with US banks. Upper management is also great to work with. Work life balance is above average.
