I would take it and not look back it is an amazing experience for value investing and Bill Nygren is the man. One of the best equity managers in Chi.
Thanks for the comment. Any idea on how it will be viewed in interviews for junior SA opps in the spring? Not sure how much banks care about incoming sophomore internships so I guess the internship would be purely a learning experience.
Can't speak on this too much as I don't have exposure to recruiting side of IB, but Harris vets its candidates pretty well so just having the name on your resume should help to show that you are qualified. My assumption would be Chicago banks would easily recognize the name but can't speak on NY. Overall, great to just have something on your resume for SA recruiting as many sophomores aren't as lucky.
if you are interested in public markets this is a far better & rarer opportunity than banking
