Idk what it’s like at Truist but I would say it’s not a no brainer like everyone says (I work at HW). If you want better pay and/or guaranteed exit to MM pe, go to HW. If you wanna stay in banking I’d say it’s definitely a more nuanced decision.

1) where you live should absolutely be a criteria. You will be miserable if you do this job long term in a city you don’t like.

2) diligence the groups and WLB at Truist. Sure you will get paid less, but if you burn out in 2-3 years at HW what’s the point. I promise HW will work you to the bone.
