IlliniProgrammerYES. This is the one place where you want to spend money. Blue Cross or Aetna's higher end plans are worth the $50-100/month premium if you ever wind up in serious health trouble.

I may be thrifty, but I'm not stupid.

While I do think you're very risk-averse, I agree 100% with this. And I'd be 100% for a fresh grad following all of your advice as opposed to doing the standard go out and get 5 credit cards and max them out thing.

Nah, I'm gonna be at a MM. It's in NYC though. And to be honest... I really have no idea about the health insurance. I just know that they offer three levels of options. I'm thinking I'll go with the most expensive one, per illini's advice. I've just never really heard of the company that's providing mine. I've at least heard of BCBS, which is what he mentioned, but not mine. What are some of the typical companies that banks offer for Health Insurance?
