Healthcare vertical primers/ readings?

Hey all, recently hit the desk and honestly coming across a lot of KPIs and jargon that I’m not that familiar with within the HC space. Anybody have good resources I can look into in my free time instead of spending a ton of extra time researching everything I come across? Thanks!

Been on the corporate side of healthcare services for 10 years. All my advice is based on my experience in that space.

The annual Bain PE Healthcare reports are a good place to start. Great place to learn headwinds and tailwinds. Things have changed drastically from the late 2010s --> 2020-2021 (COVID mania) --> 2022 and beyond when interest rates rose. They have reports available for every years so worth checking out a report from each of those times.

Would say the best source to catch up to speed in healthcare is to do as much networking / coffee chats with people in the space. Great way to understand the stakeholders and the dynamics of it.
