Help a non-target student

Hi, I am from India (Asia)

Context - Scored (94% In High School  (Was not from a well-educated family Parents never pushed me to do great and I also somewhat wanted to be a business guy so never aimed higher). Targets College here starts from 96%-98%.

Gave a few entrances for college got into 2nd best college but could not afford the fee. So had to settle for an average college. (Spent whole lockdown and 1st year depressed due to this )

Currently Pursuing a Bachelor of Management Studies with a major in Finance (9.01/10 CGPA ), At the start of 2nd year.

The main thing here to build a CV is Case Comps but I can't manage to get even a 4 member team from my college and other are internships which I got through Networking - Research Fellow at a very small VC firm and MarketPlace Research at YC backed startup.

I want to get my shit together and Get into IB or VC. Any tips currently struggling on How to learn Modelling from a verified place.

Or any other tips, in general, will be highly appreciated.

India and Finance. I was thinking about breaking into VC straight out of undergrad. Because they don't require Heavy FM and all the targets kiddos will already be happy with their on-campus IB and consulting roles but this seems super optimistic. So wanted to make sure i learn FM and finance overall too .

Yes Ik, That VC firm requires ex MBB/MS/GS people but recently.

Few funds here have started offering Internships just on the basis of skills and not pedigree, So maybe I can work at an early stage fund. My second best option will be an operations role at Startup because jobs here in India are super Competitive and non-targets only gets sales job .
