It wouldn’t be that expensive and could save your career and a great deal of embarrassment.
Separately, if anyone reports this to HR, tell them that you are the victim of a sexual crime and that you have involved law enforcement. That should shut most people up. If it were me, I would even consider pre-emptively telling HR, “I have been the victim of a cybercrime, so if you hear any salacious details regarding me, it is because I am the victim of criminal conduct, and I am pursuing my available options including law enforcement.”
