Help: Reneging an Offer

Hey all,

As the title suggests, I need some advice on reneging an offer. I had signed an offer letter at a Big 4 for TP earlier this fall and have just now received an offer I cannot pass up on. My question is how should I proceed with reneging the offer? Do I call my recruiter or send her an email? Do I have to tell my school? I'm worried about a potential ban from the career centre for reneging so late. Would appreciate any advice.

Thanks.

EDIT: I will be reneging a 2019 SA internship for another SA 2019 internship.

So you called the main guy, but did you call or email the other 3 to 5 people? I had two recruiters and then two people in TP that interviewed me. I guess I should reach out to all four?

heh, good luck with that. If the decision of trading > IB was primarily focused on the hours, you aren't doing it for the right reasons. You will find that out soon enough though.
