Help with essay question

Hey guys ( and gals), I am applying for a "Chicago Finance Week" with my bschool. It's basically going to be a week of networking and listening to informational speakers in Chicago. The application requires two essays... the more challenging one is

"What particular area of finance most interests you and why"

I am mostly interested in International Finance and investment projects in emerging areas of the world. Does anyone have any idea how i should flesh that out? Any terms, or ideas you think I should use to sound smart? Lol, i know it has to be in my own words, but I would really appreciate some direction.

Thanks everyone

ASEAN, Is Southeast Asia the Last Economic Frontier? Burma is recently in the news. Talking about how political landscape affects economic decisions in the region will be pretty interesting. Burma is stuck between China, India, Thailand, and Singapore. Why is US interested in democracy in Burma (hint: to contain China in south east Asia)? Why China continues to support Burma (hint: gas pipelines and seaport to head west)?

Just something on top of my head. Should be pretty interesting topic because that's what has been on the news based on your interest in International Finance, Investment Projects and Emerging Markets.
