HELP.......Should I transfer??? - Rising junior at Elon University
Hi,
I am a rising Junior at Elon University in North Carolina who is pursuing a Double major in Finance and Management with a concentration in Entrepreneurship. I am completing an investment banking internship at a major investment bank this summer and would eventually like to end up working in private equity down the line. Now to my question:
I have the ability to transfer to Bucknell University but am wondering what some industry professionals think would provide me with a better background/is more prestigious in IB/VC/PE circles.
Thanks for your help
You have a SA at a major IB already; what's the upside in transferring?
Dude, what the hell is Elon.
To start, Bucknell is a much better school than Elon. I know a lot of Bucknell/Colgate/Lehigh folks on wall street. However, like the poster above said, you already have your foot in the door of a BB. If you didn't have this gig lined up, transferring may make sense. I say you stay put unless you can transfer into a top target. Good luck.
I know both schools... OP what are the odds you get a return offer? Are you doing a structured summer analyst - IBD program, or is this a relationship thing? Did you get into the sophomore program of a major BB?
