Hi folks.
I have started my career as a M&A Analyst at a small IB boutique and after a year switched over to being a Data Analyst in Thomson Reuters (gathering info for all M&A, PEO and PE transactions for Thomson Reuters Eikon product). Yesterday I started a new position as a Financial Modelling and Conversion Associate at Refinitiv (ex Financial and Risk business of Thomson Reuters). Currently i will be responsible for building some excel models and converting existing ones created by Cap IQ, FactSet and Bloomberg by using Eikon excel add-ins. Additionally i have done some online self study in accounting and corp finance from coursera (Wharton, Melbourne University) and thinking to get some modeling certificate like https://bit.ly/2F8D1zb. I consider the current position as a real step to get into Western IB companies.
