Saw some discussions about NYC intern sign-on bonus a few days ago. I’m gonna start my summer at a BB this summer in Hong Kong but there’s nothing about bonus on my contract.
Do banks in HK pay their interns bonuses? Also heard that some banks provide housing? Does any monkey have insight into this?

Sign-on bonuses yes, if you get a return offer and take it. Otherwise no, no bank pays interns performance based bonuses.
To answer part 2 of your Q, I believe most banks will provide housing in HK, which is basically another ~$3k / month.
Thanks for the comment. Yeah I heard my bank would provide housing, but nothing was mentioned on contract and no one has reached out to me. Maybe they’ll provide some info about housing in the coming months?
I thought housing is provided free of charge for SA at most banks? Unless you are at HSBC, which gives you an extra housing stipend in your salary. Also do you have any idea what housing may look like for SA (location, type, etc.)?
The housing is not stated on my contract tho. Any ideas?
