HK IBD FT/Off cycle

Hi, I am currently a junior in the US and have an IBD MM offer on hand, looking to recruit for investment banking in HK. I wish to go back to HK for FT. I’m wondering how HK recruiting works. I am not sure whether I should recruit as an FT, off-cycle, or re-recruit for SA. How brutal is HK FT recruiting?

Is the timeline similar to FT recruiting in the US?

Is networking very important?

Any thoughts? Thanks a lot!
